Bob Sofronksi and his wife Darlene

Bob Sofronski felt called by God to start Conquering Life Prison Ministry in 2004. Bob has been involved in prison ministry since 1999 and the recovery ministry since 2005. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bob graduated from Frankford High School in 1983 as an All-Public soccer player. Bob attained a scholarship for soccer to Camden County College but dropped out of school as drugs slowly but surely took over his life.

Leading a life of crime and addiction for over 15 years, Bob was finally sent to prison. While incarcerated in 1997-1998, Bob’s heart was changed by the power of God’s love and forgiveness at a prison chapel service. Bob gave his life to Jesus that night and his life has never been the same. He is now dedicated and committed to the advancing God’s kingdom.

He is employed by The Philadelphia Coca-Cola Company and volunteers as Chairman and Executive Director of CLPRM.. He has a great passion to bring out the God-given (and directed) potential in each and every one of CLPRM’s volunteers.

Bob’s hobbies include fishing, snowboarding, coaching and playing soccer; his favorite food is sushi. He is the father of three and resides in Southampton, PA with his wife, Darlene.

Bob’s Personal Testimony

Prison ministry and discipleship work. I stand here today because someone volunteered their time to come and visit me.

I was incarcerated in 1997 and 1998. My life was in ruins. Addicted to drugs and alcohol for almost 20 years, I needed to find a better way to live.

Upon the urgings of my cellmate to attend a church service, I was moved by what happened that night. I heard the Gospel of Christ for the very first time. I learned that God loved me with an unconditional love. And I responded to the invitation that night to receive Jesus and my life has never been the same. That’s an understatement!

Today I stand as director of Conquering Life Prison Ministry because of God’s grace and the power of His Word.
